Western influences have altered common dress codes slightly to better resemble common American styles. Though modesty is still highly valued, a typical women's clothing item, called a kurta, is very similar in style to a common tunic top. Men also wear similar garments under the kurta category, though their garments tend to be simpler in design and color. |
